Our work is not primarily aimed at receiving any award or recognition. However, the recent comments by Ian Martin on our work, provide an endorsement for what the organisation is seeking to do:
- Ian Martin is an English human rights activist/advisor and works on occasion with the United Nations (UN)
- His most recent UN assignment was as the Special Representative of the Secretary-General and Head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya
- From 2015 to 2018 he was Executive Director of the Security Council Report
- He was also the Secretary General of Amnesty International
As a friend of Bangladesh since 1971, I am delighted to learn of the establishment of Probha Aurora, which can indeed be a shining light to inspire teenagers and young adults. With climate change being the greatest challenge to young people and future generations, nothing could be more important than environmental education. I know that its founder has the moral values to bring the highest ethical approach to the work which this new organization is committed to advance.
