Formerly known as the Society for Economic Environmental Development (SEED), our organization has been committed to working with integrity and dedication since 1996. We are officially registered with the Department of Social Services and the NGO Affairs Bureau of Bangladesh.

In accordance with the constitution and following a recent resolution conducted by the General Council, the organization’s name has been internally updated to Probha Aurora Foundation. However, as part of the formal government process, the official approval of this name change is still underway and may require some additional time. We sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding during this transition.

We would also like to acknowledge the valuable strategic support provided during this process by Sustainable Enterprise Probha Aurora Ltd., a nationally and internationally recognized entity operating under the Probha Aurora name. Members of its board are actively engaged in supporting this transformation. While the Foundation (NGO) and the Limited company are two distinct legal entities, both operate in full compliance with relevant laws and maintain a formal collaborative relationship. Given their shared missions and aligned values, this partnership is expected to continue in a constructive and mutually supportive manner.

We are also pleased to share that the organization has recently undergone a leadership restructuring. This was carried out through a transparent and democratic process, overseen by Chief Election Commissioner, Emeritus Professor Dr. M. A. Sattar Mandal. As a result, a new 7-member Executive Committee and a 23-member General Council have been established.

Renowned environmentalist and founding member Mr. Mohidul Hoque Khan now serves as Chairman. Mr. Bidhan Chandra Pal has been appointed as General Secretary and Executive Director, while Dr. Aftab Uddin has taken on the role of Treasurer.

As part of this ongoing evolution, we are currently developing a new website to reflect our renewed identity, updated leadership, and expanding programs. This platform will soon offer comprehensive information on our mission, initiatives, and future plans.
