The 2nd World Congress on Recycling & Waste Management was recently held on June 09–10, 2025, in Zurich, Switzerland. On behalf of Probha Aurora, our Founder and Managing Director, Mr. Bidhan Chandra Pal, had the honor of presenting a paper titled "A Brighter Future for Bangladesh: Combating Climate Change through Innovative Circular Economy." দুই দিনব্যাপী নানামুখি রেস্টোরেশন উদ্যোগ গ্রহণের মাধ্যমে বিশ্ব পরিবেশ দিবস এবং "মেইক এ ডিফারেন্স উইক" উদযাপিত হয়েছে বাংলাদেশের বৃহত্তম দ্বীপ ভোলার চরফ্যাশনে। স্থানীয় প্রতিষ্ঠান কিশোর নেটওয়ার্ক এই উদ্যোগটি গ্রহণ করে। টাইড টার্নার্স প্লাস্টিক চ্যালেঞ্জ এবং প্রভা অরোরা‘র মাধ্যমে উৎসাহিত হয়ে প্রতিষ্ঠানটি যে সকল উদ্যোগ গ্রহণ করে তার মধ্যে অন্যতম ছিল- ফেলে দেওয়া প্লাস্টিক বোতল পুনর্ব্যবহার করে পাখির বাসা তৈরি করা ও গাছে টাঙানোর ব্যবস্থা করা, দেশীয় গাছ লাগানো, কমিউনিটির মধ্যে শিক্ষা ও সচেতনতামূলক লিফলেট বিতরণ করা ইত্যাদি। এই কার্যক্রমের মাধ্যমে শতাধিক পাখির বাসা তৈরি করে গাছে টাঙানোর ব্যবস্থা করা হয় এবং পাঁচ শতাধিক দেশীয় বৃক্ষরোপণ করা হয়েছে।

World Environment Day and “Make a Difference Week” were observed through a two-day series of meaningful restoration activities in Charfashion, the largest island in Bhola, Bangladesh. The initiative was undertaken by the local organization, Kishore Network, inspired by the Tide Turners Plastic Challenge and Probha Aurora. As part of the initiative, the organization carried out several impactful activities, including:

• Reusing discarded plastic bottles to create birdhouses and carefully installing them on trees,
• Planting native tree species to support biodiversity,
• Distributing educational and awareness leaflets within the local community to promote environmental stewardship.

Through these efforts, more than 100 birdhouses were crafted and placed, and over 500 native trees were planted—contributing meaningfully to local ecological restoration and community awareness.

বিশ্ব পরিবেশ দিবসকে সম্মান জানিয়ে এবং ‘মেইক এ ডিফারেন্স উইক’ উদযাপনের অংশ হিসেবে, বাংলাদেশের ইকো-স্কুলস ও ইকো ক্যাম্পাস প্রোগ্রামের আওতাভুক্ত শিক্ষাপ্রতিষ্ঠানসমূহ যথাযোগ্য মর্যাদার সাথে ও গুরুত্ব সহকারে নানামুখি অর্থবহ ও ইতিবাচক কর্মকাণ্ডে অংশ নিচ্ছে। এই কর্মসূচির মধ্যে রয়েছে দেশীয় গাছের চারা রোপণ, পরিষ্কার-পরিচ্ছন্নতা অভিযান পরিচালনা, এক প্রজন্মের সঙ্গে আরেক প্রজন্মের অভিজ্ঞতা বিনিময়, প্রাণীদের যত্ন নেওয়া এবং পরিবেশবান্ধব খাদ্য গ্রহণে উৎসাহ প্রদান।

In honor of World Environment Day and as part of the 'Make a Difference Week' observance, educational institutions under the Eco-Schools & Eco Campus programme across Bangladesh are engaging in a variety of impactful and thoughtful activities carried out with respect and purpose. These include planting indigenous trees, organizing cleanliness campaigns, fostering intergenerational knowledge exchange, promoting care for animals, and encouraging the adoption of environmentally friendly diets.
